QA/Stamping tag + shout outs

Hi ladies so due to a change in my schedule my weekly post will now be on Sundays, today I’m going to answer a few stamping related questions that are based more on my nail stamping collection rather than a how to stamp.

What was the 1st stamping plate you purchased?
The first plate I purchased is by Cheeky and is Jumbo plate 7 Home Sweet Home, I picked this plate because it had a variety image but also for the cupcake image which remains my favourite on this plate.

What is your favourite polish for stamping?
I haven’ tried many stamping polishes but my favourite has to be Nommany’ Nail Art black stamping polish, but I believe that she has now gone out of business. My favourite regular brand for stamping at the moment has to be Sally Hansen Insta-dri, my favourite colour has to be Co Bolt-blue, I love the colour and the formula but I also love stamping with a dark blue on those days when black is just too dark.

What is your favourite stamping brand?
This is a tricky one as there are so many out there I would have to pick 3. The first being Cheeky there are plates are super affordable and have some really cute designs, they are also easy to work with. I am also a big fan of Mo You London there plates are amazing quality and the designs are so different, I love how this brand covers for everyone there is the smaller images as well as larger in their designs so whether you have short or long nails they have you covered and I am a huge fan of their buffet type plates they are my favourite, cute packaging is also a great bonus, I am a sucker for that. The last brand is Born Pretty Store, now the BP store plates are so affordable but in my opinion a little trickier to use, I wouldn’t recommend them as a very first stamping plate but still on my favourites and one that is vastly growing in my collection, A definite must have !

What is your favourite stamping technique?
Would definitely have to be advance stamping, it is just endless opportunities, I love taking one image and being able to fill it in so many ways.

What is your favourite plate in your collection?
Would definitely have to be Mo You London mother nature 06, I was drawn to this plate straight away, it actually sat in my collection for a few months before I used it as I didn’t know what to do with it before I did Rainbow Street.

What is on your stamping wishlist?
There isn’t really that much left on my wish list as I got a bit of it over the summer but I would love to try Uber Chic plates, I’ve watched hundreds of videos on YouTube of them but haven’t managed to get my hands on them. I would also like to try Chez Delanys plates I would love to be able to support more French brands and I will definitely get some of her plates in the future. I am also hoping to add Mundo de Unas stamping polishes to my collection in the future.

What plate do you regret buying?
There is only one plate that I regret buying in my collection and that isn’t due to the quality, the quality of this plate is great, the plate in question is Mo You London Fashionista 03, the reason I regret buying this plate is because I haven’t used it, I swatched it when I first got it but then it has sat in my draw and has staid there.

What plate could you not live without?
The plate I find myself reaching for the most is  Cheeky  Jumbo plate 7 Home Sweet Home, this plate has so many different designs on this one plate it has the little designs for when I don’t want to do a full manicure, my favourite cupcake image I tend to use this image when I don’t know what to do I use the advance stamping method and change the images, but I also use the birdcages just as a simple stamping.

What stamping technique do you want to learn?
I really want to try double processed stamping I originally saw this technique on Nailstam4fun’s channel but it was when I was first starting out so I didn’t have the right plates or experience in stamping but I saw it again on Gelulicious’s channel over the summer and really want to give it a go.

What is your favourite stamping design you have done?
Would definitely be Rainbow Street, this design was the first more complicated design I have done and the design I have had the most positive feedback on, but also I just love the memories behind this design. I tend to redo this design when it is a girly evening in with the girls.

What tip do you give when stamping?
Be patient, stamping is easy when you get the hang of it but still goes wrong occasionally, so if it doesn’t work first time round be patient and don’t give up.

What plates have you bought recently?
I have received quite a few over the summer so won’t go into too many details if you want a post on the plates I have received or my stamping collection then let me know and I will do a post on that. I have received plates from Marianne Nails, Mo You London and the Born Pretty Store. I have picked up quite a few plates from them as I have been watching Gelulicious review on the plates and found that plates I didn’t like before were more attractive as I got so much inspiration from her swatches.

What are your favourite stamping channels on YouTube?
There are so many amazing people out there it is hard to pick a few but definitely Nailstam4fun, I started watching her channel before I got into nail stamping and she kind of got me hooked and really inspired me to start my own blog and youtube channel. The there is Gelulicious, I have mentioned her a few times in this post already but she is another of my favourites, she uploads once a day and has a wide variety of nail related videos on ber channel, i have being enjoying her recent series of reviews on the born pretty store plates which has resulted in me purchasing a few of those plates. There is also Sarah R, I love her stamping tutorials as well as her reviews, well worth checking out. Cassis P, well where to start her designs are to die for, her videos are so clear and easy to understand and the designs she comes out with are always stunning. Finally ANAILS stamp I love watching her videos she comes um with some fun and cute designs, I also love watching her reviews.

Update

Hi ladies, so I know I have been absent for a while which I do apologize for things have been a little all over the place recently as I have been working over the summer and my nail art has had to take a back seat but from next week hopefully everything should settle down again as I will be back to normal and I can focus again on my nail art!
I have been in the UK for the summer so of course I have been buying things, well as it is so much cheaper I just had to do it and I really did do it, I have bought so many nail art related items and all ready have so much more waiting for me back in France.

If you are interested in watching my recent haul videos to see some of the goodies I have found they are uploaded on my YouTube channel;
